Outline the story …
Like many things in this universe the mather nature decided to take an human appearance to see what they can see. In this ocassion the Spring had decided to admire how winter leaves as the next seasson comes.
I decided to inspire my desingn in this way because not only th elements can appear as humans seassons can also do it. But in my mind during the creative and inspirational process you can see movies or series that can help you in a way that any other cannot and in my case it was Jane Austen book adaptations.
Regency era is a period that had always had something to surprise everyone. Spring as many knows is a rainy period so including blue in the desing it was a must for me. About the embroidery elemens in the dress we can see how a three grows in the back and a revel branch goes througth the rest of the dress ending in a flower between leaves. Other element important inside the inspiration process was the pearls that the ocean can give us if we´re patience enough. This last element was needed to create a weave simutalion of the water as it moves.
Outline the construction…
The construcction of the dress it has being a own made pattern but having in mind that the pieces of the dress are not like nowadays structure. Once the pattern was made another element apear: the fabric, this was someting very important because the effect that needed to happen wasn´t going to happen if the fabric had to much weigh. Inside the body was need interlinig so the embroydery doesn´t made any damage on the fabric, and add a iside body to protect everything.
To add a modern touch i dediced to include a zip so the move of the skirt could have diferent views and ways to combine this garment, giving many ways to see and use it.
Making the embroidery has been a new expirence very greatfull and full of patience. Smoking the pearl in the front of the dress was a hand made work. Not all the hand working it´s been made in drifferent parts like the pearls (because doing it seew with the body was extremly complicated), but the embroidery was done once the the pieces were together so the full desing wasn´t interrupted.
To do all this job i´ve reseached in a few books and websites to inspire and help. Everyone need always others help.
