Outline the story …

Entry inspired by Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series, by J. K. Rowling. I have a headcannon that Hermione Granger spends every weekend on her holidays, watching Doctor Who with her parents. The wizarding world of Harry Potter is complex and portrayed as being roughly 100 years behind muggle fashion trends, so I could easily see Hermione wearing Regency short stays to bring her muggle fashion of long line bras to the old fashioned wizarding world.

Outline the construction…

I had never completed a pair of stays before, or really anything. I have a bit of experience in sewing, but I rarely ever actually complete any projects, I peter out halfway through. This Redthreaded pattern I used was simple and easy, and I actually finished a mockup and final.

    I love these – great fit and love the combination of 2 time travellers in one garment. And that fabric is genius – from a distance so toile de jouy and closer up – Dr Who. Kudos for whoever designed it too.
